Couldn't have said it better...

I appreciated Quentin L. Cook's message today about how incredible LDS women are.  I'm so lucky to be surrounded by great neighbors, friends, and family who are examples of wonderful LDS women in every type of role. The women I work with, much like my mom, are particularly inspiring for the goals I've set for myself.  I LOVED these two points in Elder Cook's talk:

"First, no woman should ever feel the need to apologize or to feel that her contribution is less significant because she is devoting her primary efforts to raising and nurturing children. Nothing could be more significant in our Father in Heaven's plan.

"Second, we should all be careful not to be judgmental or assume that sisters are less valiant if the decision is made to work outside the home. We rarely understand or fully appreciate peoples' circumstances. Husbands and wives should prayerfully counsel together understanding they are accountable to God for their decisions."

Isn't it awesome that we can associate with women in various circumstances and draw strength from the fact that we are all still daughters of God with great value?  I love that I have friends who are inspiring moms with great patience and diligence.  I also love that I have friends who are successful in their jobs while balancing all the other demands of life.  I hope that my friends will appreciate and respect me for the very personal decisions we have made for our family, just as I respect them.
