Jen's Birthday

I turned 26 this year (so weird I can hardly remember when people ask), and really had a nice birthday.  We had no idea what to expect from the NBA lockout which greatly affects our income, so we decided to just keep it simple and stick to using some gift cards for dinner and a few gifts.  My boss took me to an amazing lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and my team bought me the cookbook I have wanted forever, it's seriously the BEST.  We decided to just hang out at home the night of my bday and my neighbor Kim surprised me with a box of Sweet Tooth Fairy!  Then over the weekend we had my traditional meal at Outback, which never seems to get old.

 My gifts this year included the perfect running hat (which I've hardly used), a Babycakes mini cupcake maker (way over used), and balloons.  I'm a sucker for balloons and would take them over flowers any day.  I'm so blessed to work with amazing friends and have a husband who knows how much my birthday means to me!  Most of all, I can't wait to use the gift my parents gave me: money towards our Christmas plane tickets!
